Natural site of El Q'mra.

Located in the
The provincial road CW76 will lead you to the locality; in passing you willdiscover the most beautiful steppe of the region made up of artemisia and esparto over largeareas.
An outing on foot ,and the crossing over the Q'mra oued (or river)until the laste cascade of water ,will allow to discover this magical spot of an impressive beauty.

HOT SPRING OF HAMMAM DELAA

Taking the waters at a spa allows to fulfil a therapeutic need; it can have an influence on the local economy and the nearby territories, notably on the touristic activity.

It should not base its logic on the exploitation of curative mineral water only but should expand further by promoting other assets. Hydro-geological studies should be conducted on the two hot spring of BELARIBI and HAMMAM DELAA in order to asses their flows and the quality of the waters in a first stage

The El Hodna Choott            

It was a vast lake with a length of It receives through numerous tributaries the waters of the mountains belt surrounding
it; it regulates the basic levels of the waterways when the underground water sheet of the region .
The Chott is full of water only in winter. The climate on its banks is scorching hot in summer, dry and salty, layers of salt cover its entire expanse. It harbours a remarkable population of animal and vegetal species for the maintaining
of the biological diversity in the region. Walking along the vicinity of the Chott, on its Southern part, and with its vast expanse of water, and its manifold palm-groves, the visitor can have an exceptional view

 

The Maadhid mountains.

They are part of the Hodna mounts located in the North of the province, sheltering the most beautiful archaeological site of the Kalla or fortress of old houses built with local stones and covered by tiles , in gorgeous setting .A totally picturesque site sowed by canyons at the bottom of which flow a crystal-clear and fresh water , crossing in cascades , numerous vegetable gardens. All this in a landscape of unique geomorphological rock .when you arrive at the summit we can have a gripping view of the plain and the El Hodna chott.

 

 

 

The forest of Djebel Messaad:

 The altimetric criterion gives Djebel Messaad its climatic specificity. As a meter of fact, it still remains covered by a forest of Mediterranean sea type. Its altitude varies from 1.200 m to 1.600 m .Its pluviometry is higher than 300 mm/years. Its bioclimatic stage is semi-arid with cold winters. The forest is constituted of alep pines and junifers.
A degraded forest, clear with a weak density and an important bush

THE STEPPE:

    It's a low and discontinued formation, devoid of trees; it is typical of the light plateaus.
The grass steppe constituted by esparto and Aristida Pungens The capacphytees steppe is characterized by white Artemisia (Artemisia Libra Alba).
The crassulacea steppe is constituted by typical species of the managing zone of the quads (Emporia Espartata sp,peganum)
This is a typical species of the steppe; it has a particular important given its great expanse its role and its manifold functions.
In the difficult environment of the steppe; the esparto allows its protection against erosion.
